What is the JLPT?

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a standardized test for evaluating the Japanese language skills of non-native speakers. There are five levels: N5 (easiest) to N1 (most difficult), testing grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening.

Children’s Japanese Class

This is a special Japanese class designed especially for young learners. We focus on making learning fun and engaging for children. For complete beginners, we begin gently with hiragana. As they progress, we help each child build Japanese language skills that will grow with them into the future.

We use the following materials to support learning:

  • こどものにほんご (Children’s Japanese)
  • おひさま / おひさまワークブック (Ohisama series)
  • 国際交流基金まるごと (JF Marugoto by The Japan Foundation)
  • 漢字なりたちブック (Book of Kanji Origins)
  • どんどんつながる漢字練習帳 (Progressive Kanji Practice Workbook)
  • はじめての論理国語 (Introduction to Logical Japanese)

After each class, we send a detailed report to parents. We also offer regular check-ins with families to share each child’s progress and discuss any concerns.

このクラスでは、子こどもが楽たのしく学まなべることを大切たいせつにしています。初心者しょしんしゃの子こにはひらがなから丁寧ていねいに教おしえます。写真しゃしんや画像がぞうを使つかって分わかりやすい授業じゅぎょうを行おこない、書かいたり塗ぬったり手てを動うごかしながら子こどもが主体的しゅたいてきに学まなぶことができます。その子こに合あわせた指導しどうで、将来しょうらいに繋つながる日本語力にほんごりょくを育そだてます。授業後じゅぎょうごには保護者様ほごしゃさまに授業報告じゅぎょうほうこくのメールを送おくり、定期的ていきてきに面談めんだんも行おこない、不安ふあんの解消かいしょうに努つとめます。
