Teen Kanji Challenge Series
The Teen Kanji Challenge Series is an original online kanji review tool created by Niko Niko JP and used in our middle and high school classes.
Students are often asked to review kanji at home, but with busy schedules including schoolwork, clubs, and activities, it can be difficult to find enough time for effective review.
This online tool supports kanji review through three simple steps, allowing students to study at their own pace. At the end of each series, a final check helps students see how much they remember and understand. Answers can be checked immediately, making review efficient and stress-free.
The URL is also shared with parents as part of our lesson reports. This helps parents understand their child’s learning progress and identify which kanji may need additional review.
Three-Step Kanji Review Process
Each Teen Kanji Challenge begins with a list of kanji to review. These are kanji that students had difficulty reading, writing, or remembering during class.
Part 1: Reading Practice
Students look at each kanji and check whether they can read it correctly.
Part 2: Meaning Check
Students confirm their understanding of each word by checking its meaning and related vocabulary.
Part 3: Choose the Correct Word
Students read example sentences and choose the correct kanji. This step checks not only reading ability, but also whether students understand how each kanji is used in context.
Summary (Final Check)
The final page serves as a final check. Students review what they have learned and see how well they understand the kanji overall.
Teen Kanji Challenge Series について
Teen Kanji Challenge Series は、Niko Niko JP が考え・作成した、 中学生・高校生クラスで実際に使用している オンラインの漢字復習サポートツールです。
漢字の復習を宿題として出しても、 学校の勉強や部活動、クラブ活動などで忙しい 中学生・高校生にとって、十分な時間を取るのは簡単ではありません。
そこで本シリーズでは、オンライン上で完結し、 3つのステップで無理なく復習できる形を採用しています。
各シリーズの最後には、理解度を確認するための ファイナルチェックを用意しており、 どの程度漢字が定着しているかをその場で確認できます。 答えをすぐに確認できる点も、このツールの特長です。
また、本ツールのURLは授業後のレポートとあわせて 保護者の方にも共有しています。 どの漢字が忘れやすいのか、学習の進み具合を知ることで、 お子さまの日本語学習状況を把握する手助けとなります。
3つのステップで復習します
Teen Kanji Challenge Series では、最初のページに 今回復習する漢字のリストがあります。 これらは、授業内で「読めなかった」「書けなかった」 漢字を中心に選ばれています。
Part 1：読み問題
漢字を見て、正しく読めるかを確認します。
Part 2：意味問題
その漢字を使った言葉の意味や、語彙を 理解できているかを確認します。
Part 3：選択問題
例文を読み、正しい漢字を選びます。 ただ読めるだけでなく、 「どのように使うか」を理解できているかを確認するステップです。
まとめ
最後は最終確認です。 ここで全体を振り返り、どのくらい理解できたかを確認します。
