新年のご挨拶

🎍Happy New Year!

Thank you very much for joining our Japanese online classes last year.
We are truly happy to see everyone gradually gaining confidence in Japanese through each lesson.

This year as well, we will continue to support your Japanese learning with lessons that are fun, easy to understand, and easy to continue.

Let’s keep learning Japanese together in the new year.
We look forward to studying with you again this year.
🎍 How I Spent My New Year

Here, I would like to share how I spent my New Year.

① Visiting a Shrine
During the New Year holidays, I visited a shrine.
In Japan, visiting a shrine or temple at the beginning of the year is called Hatsumode.

I drew an Omikuji, which is a fortune slip for the year.
My result was Daikichi (great luck). I was very happy.
② Eating Ozoni and Osechi
I ate Ozoni and Osechi during the New Year.
These are traditional Japanese New Year foods.

I made them myself this year.
They are not perfect like store-bought food,
but I only made dishes that my family likes because we eat them together at home.

It is a little embarrassing, but I will share a photo.
③ Kite Flying and New Year TV Programs
Because the weather was nice, I flew a kite.
Flying kites is a popular New Year activity in Japan.

I also spent time relaxing at home and watching TV.
There are many famous TV programs during the New Year in Japan.

On January 2nd and 3rd, there is a famous relay race called Ekiden,
where university students run from Tokyo to Hakone.
I was very moved by how hard the runners tried.
2026
Let’s make this a wonderful year together!
I’m looking forward to seeing you in our first lesson of the new year.

Thank you for your continued support this year.
