日本の夏 Japanese Summer
みなさんは、日本の夏を楽しんでいますか？
Is everyone enjoying the Japanese summer?
私は先週、地元の神社で行っている夏祭りに行きました。お店で焼き鳥、焼きそば、かき氷を買いました。
Last week, I went to a summer festival held at a local shrine. I bought yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), yakisoba (fried noodles), and kakigori (shaved ice) from the food stalls.
音楽や太鼓が鳴り、音頭をおどっている人々を見ました。
The music was playing, the taiko drums were beating, and I saw people dancing the ONDO (traditional Japanese folk dance).
夕方でも、とても蒸し暑かったですが、日本の夏を感じる良い時間でした。
Even though it was evening, it was very hot and humid, but it was a great time to truly feel the essence of a Japanese summer.
この時期、たくさんの場所で夏祭りが開催されているかと思います。もし、夕方太鼓の音や、音頭が聞こえてきたら、近くで夏祭りが行われているかもしれません。ぜひ、足を運んでみてくださいね。
I think summer festivals are being held in many places around this time. If you hear the sound of taiko drums or ONDO music in the evening, a summer festival might be happening nearby. Please try to visit one!
